Astrophotography at the City of Rocks

Introduction

This place is incredible.

This is my fourth trip back to the City of Rocks on a new moon. This is truly ne of the best places to do astrophotography in Idaho. Even with the clouds and distant light, the skies here show you every star in the sky.

Shooting from the car.

It was actually freezing while we were camping out here, so many of the shots from this night were captured from the car. That actually made for some beautiful shots with some of the reflection off the windshield and hood of the car.
