Welcome to OA Photos. My goal is to provide you with a seamless, stress-free experience from the moment you book until the final gallery is delivered. To ensure everything goes smoothly and that you and I are on the same page, please review my studio policies below.

By booking a session and paying a deposit, you agree to these terms.

1. Booking & Your Deposit

To secure your session date and time on my calendar, a deposit is required at the time of booking.

  • Calendar Lock: Once your deposit is paid, I turn away all other inquiries for your specific time slot.
  • Refund Policy: Because booking your date removes it from my availability, your deposit is strictly non-refundable prior to your session. However, as a testament to my commitment to your experience, the deposit becomes refundable only after we have officially met and fully completed your scheduled shoot.
  • Final Payment: The remaining balance for your package is due in full on or before the date of your session.

2. Rescheduling & Weather

I understand that life happens, and living in the Treasure Valley means the weather can be unpredictable.

  • Client Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Your deposit can be transferred to a new date within 90 days of the original session. Rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice may require a new deposit.
  • Weather Calls: I constantly monitor the forecast. If heavy rain, severe winds, or unsafe conditions threaten the shoot, I will make the call to reschedule within 12 to 24 hours of the session. In the event of a weather-related cancellation on my end, your deposit will securely transfer to the new agreed-upon date.

3. The Session

To get the absolute best results from our time together, I ask for your punctuality and cooperation.

  • Arrival Time: Please arrive 10 minutes early to your location. Session times start exactly at the agreed-upon time. If you arrive late, that time will be deducted from your total session duration.
  • Creative Control: You are hiring OA Photos for my specific artistic vision and direction. While I love seeing your Pinterest boards and inspiration, I ask that you trust my professional judgment regarding lighting, posing, and location selection.

4. Editing & Delivery

I take immense pride in the post-production process to ensure your photos meet my highest standards.

  • Turnaround Time: Your fully edited, high-resolution digital gallery will be delivered via a private online link within the timeframe specified in your package (typically 14 days).
  • Editing Style: All final images are hand-edited for color, exposure, cropping, and my signature cinematic grade.
  • Raw Files: I do not provide RAW or unedited image files under any circumstances. Half of the magic is in the editing process, and an unedited photo does not reflect my finished brand standard.

5. Copyright & Image Usage

I want you to share your photos with everyone you love, but there are a few standard rules regarding ownership.

  • Your Rights (Print Release): You will receive a personal print release. This allows you to download, print, and share your final images on personal social media accounts as much as you like.
  • My Rights (Copyright): OA Photos retains the permanent legal copyright to all images created. I reserve the right to use the images for portfolio, marketing, social media, and advertising purposes.

6. Liability

While I take every precaution to secure my gear and back up your memories, I must cover the "what-ifs."

  • Data Loss: In the highly unlikely event of total photographic failure, equipment damage, or hard drive corruption resulting in the loss of your images, my liability is strictly limited to a full refund of all monies paid, including the deposit.
  • Personal Injury: OA Photos is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or accidents that occur during the session.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho. By submitting your booking and deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these policies.
