New moon - Craters of the Moon
Craters of the Moon is this barren, rugged wasteland of scarred and torn up Earth in South Central Idaho. While it is vast and empty, it's far from plain. It is an incredibly interesting landscape with unique plant life, underground tunnels, and rolling hills; and of course, a vast dark sky park with an unrivaled view of the stars.

Results
A very unique experience.
This was very different from the City of Rocks, another dark sky park in Idaho. The colors, landscape, and horizon glow provide so much variation in how visible the sky is and the kind of lighting and foregrounds there are for astrophotography. This area is also much more isolated in the back country, allowing you to full roam and set-up your shots at 3am.
